Hello,

Welcome to Day 1 of your "Cover Letter 3-Day Mini Course!"

Get comfortable, grab your favorite beverage, do whatever you've got to do to give me your undivided attention for a few minutes. I've got something special for you. If you'll read it with an open mind, it will lift your job-seeking spirits and give you the key "secret ingredients" to confidently go out there and get 'em... and you will!

Ready? Let's dig in...

Did you know there exists a "secret place" where most job-seekers never send their cover letter and resume? This "secret place" is often completely overlooked. And, it is exactly where you NEED to send a personal, friendly, enthusiastic and brief cover letter! I REPEAT! Personal, Friendly, Enthusiastic, Brief! ;) And of course, you should attach your resume as well.

In a moment I'm going to reveal this "secret place" to you, but first let me say this. Please understand that the "secret place" where you'll be sending your letter is a starting point to getting the job. This first cover letter, which I refer to as your "primary cover letter" is not enough. You do NOT want to contact an employer just ONCE and then give up. Oh no, you leave that BIG mistake to 99% of all job-seekers. You're about to enter the tiny and wise 1% who get noticed, interviewed and hired!

Okay, let's move on, I won't keep you in suspense much longer. Let me ask you a question: Do you know about all the "overcrowded" places the rest of the job-seekers send their job applications to? These congested places are about as secretive as the office rumor-mill at the water cooler!

These days, millions of job-seekers simply blast their cover letters and resumes into cyberspace by using one of the many popular job search sites that promises to "get you out there" to a billion companies! Or, many people simply work their tail off sending out the same ineffective cover letter and resume to no one in particular thinking "the more the merrier." This is like throwing darts blindfolded after being spun in circles until you're dizzy! It's not the way to get the job.

Where's YOUR target? Where are you aiming EXACTLY? What are you looking for? Just another J-O-B? Or something more??

Look if you're really serious about landing a position that you can get excited about and you know what you're looking for... I won't keep you in suspense any longer!

The "secret place" I'm referring to is actually...

The "OFFICE" of the SPECIFIC PERSON who schedules the job interviews!

That's right, an actual LIVING, BREATHING, DECISION-MAKING PERSON! Address your cover letter to this SPECIFIC individual by NAME!

It's amazing to me that most people address their cover letters like this:

To whom it may concern: Dear Sirs: Dear Madam:, Dear hiring manager:, etc., "YAWN"... etc.

What do these job seekers have in common?...Blindfolds! IF they hit the target, it's a lucky shot, and that's a BIG "IF".

Take a little time, do a little research. Use the Internet to collect information rather than just blasting into cyberspace on some job site. Get on the phone. Call the company you want to work for. Get the SPECIFIC NAME of the person who has the authority to call you for an interview.

Now you're throwing darts at a TARGET. And it's SO much easier to hit the bull's-eye!

One perfectly targeted cover letter will outperform 100 generic cover letters sent to, "To whom it may concern!"

This is some of the best, yet deceptively simple advice you'll ever receive for your job search.

Be on the lookout for DAY 2 of your mini-course arriving tomorrow. I will reveal the awesome power of a simple "follow-up cover letter" to DOUBLE your chances of a job interview!

See you tomorrow!

DAY 2 - "How to DOUBLE your chances of getting a job interview using the awesome power of a simple "follow-up cover letter!"

Hello,

Welcome to Day 2 of your "3-Day Mini Course!"

Today, you're truly about to go where 99% of all job-seekers will never go.

Yesterday, we established that if you're really serious about landing a position that you're excited about, you need to know exactly what you're TARGET is and, if at all possible, you should send your primary cover letter and resume to that "secret place".

The "OFFICE" of the SPECIFIC PERSON who SCHEDULES INTERVIEWS! And you need to make sure that you address your cover letter to this SPECIFIC individual by NAME.

I also told you the critical importance of keeping your cover letter PERSONAL, FRIENDLY, ENTHUSIASTIC and BRIEF.

With that said, how can you DOUBLE your chances of getting that job interview?

Easy. You do exactly what 99% of all job-seekers don't do.

You do it AGAIN... send ANOTHER cover letter!

That's right, you send the exact same person another cover letter and resume! This is referred to as a "pre-interview" follow-up cover letter. The only thing that changes here is basically the first paragraph of your cover letter that states the fact you are following up from your first contact and again letting this person know that you are still interested and available for the position.

TWICE as nice. :o)

As a rule of thumb, wait 10 days to 2 weeks and if you have not been called in for an interview, send the exact same person a follow-up cover letter along with your resume giving you a SECOND CHANCE at the job! So simple, so
obvious, yet few do this, and it is SO powerful.

Doesn't this make perfect sense to you? Take the time to contact the company you'd like to work for and you will likely get noticed the second time around.

It amazes me how so many job-seekers simply give up after sending in one basic application for the job.

Hey, you want to do something really special? Get on the phone and make a "follow-up PHONE CALL" as well! Look, if you want the job you've got to do something about it. When you do this, you'll instantly become that person a company is looking for. A persistent, responsible "go-getter."

Can you tell me a company that is NOT looking for that type of employee? I didn't think so. :)

You see, the very fact that you are sending two cover letters to everyone else's one cover letter gives you a mathematical 2 to 1 advantage of getting interviewed over everyone else. WOW! That's something to get excited about and you should absolutely take the time to do this.

Imagine mixing in a follow-up phone call to the right person as well. Talk about PURE power.

WARNING: Please watch out, if you start sending follow-up cover letters and making follow-up phone calls, you WILL get more job interviews, and you WILL dramatically increase you chances of getting the job you're searching for... so be careful! ;)

"What if I already have an interview scheduled from my first cover letter?" Good question.

TIP: Once you're scheduled for a job interview you can send another type of "pre-interview" follow-up cover letter WITHOUT your resume. This type of cover letter is sent to confirm your appointment, enthusiasm, and the opportunity it represents to you.

Again, keep this letter BRIEF. This is a fantastic way to stand out from the others who are also scheduled for an interview by drawing positive attention to yourself right BEFORE your interview.

I can't stress how big an advantage you'll gain by using follow-up cover letters and phone calls during your job search. Obviously I can't write your "follow-up cover letter" for you so go use your "Amazing Cover Letter Creator".

Stay tuned for DAY 3 of your mini-course arriving tomorrow. (This one's incredible) I will show you exactly how to use the fantastic and completely overlooked "Post-Interview Cover letter" to TRIPLE your chances of getting hired!

See you tomorrow!

DAY 3 - "How to use the fantastic and completely overlooked "Post-Interview Cover letter" to TRIPLE your chances of getting hired!"

Hello again,

Welcome to Day 3 of your "3-Day Mini Course!"

Congratulations, you've made it to the last day and you're still with me!

Great, let's get right to it.

Over the last two days, you've discovered the importance of sending your cover letter and resume to the "secret place" which is actually the "office" of the specific person who schedules interviews!

You've also learned the critical importance of keeping your cover letters personal, friendly, enthusiastic and brief.

And yesterday, I shared with you how to easily double your chances of getting a job interview using the awesome power of a simple "follow-up cover letter." As I mentioned, make a follow up phone call around the same time as well if you aren't contacted for an interview within a couple of weeks.

Now I'm going to share with you the little known secret that will TRIPLE your chances of getting hired...

The "Post-Interview Cover letter!"

Here's a completely overlooked and incredibly effective cover letter that can single-handedly LAND you the job.

AFTER any job interview, simply send the interviewer a "Post-Interview Cover letter" that says THANK YOU for the opportunity. Restate your passion, enthusiasm, availability and interest in being hired for the job! And of course, I encourage you to make a Post-Interview PHONE CALL as well. If your interview went especially well, comment on that too in your letter and/or over the phone.

How can a company possibly resist taking a chance on hiring someone like YOU? When you show so much energy for landing a job you're also becoming an irresistible candidate!

HERE'S A POST-INTERVIEW COVER LETTER TIP: Address it by name to the person who conducted the interview. You also want to keep this cover letter personal, friendly, enthusiastic and very brief (one or two paragraphs max). And while you're at it don't be afraid to ASK for the job. Oooh goodness...how scary! :o)

As you have discovered, by sending targeted, effective cover letters long after the rest of the job seeking public has given up, (mixed in with a couple of timely follow-up phone calls) you can absolutely skyrocket your chances of landing any job your heart desires!

With this new found job-seeking power, why not shoot for the stars and go after a position you'll really love!

I'd like to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to read my 3-Day Mini Course. I hope you have enjoyed it, and most importantly you USE this information to gain a BIG advantage for your job search.
